Sharing Christ’s love with others through our giving is a big part of who we are and what we do at Gloria Dei, and that is never more evident than at Christmastime. It was even more so than usual this season, as we were not only shopping for an Angel Tree family and helping distribute gifts at Our Daily Bread, but also collecting items for the family that will soon take ownership of a very special Habitat for Humanity home.

Thank you to all who went shopping for the 10 children of the three mothers sharing a home that we “adopted” for Christmas shopping. And to others of you who weren’t able to shop in person but made generous donations toward the purchase of gift items — including two bicycles for 11-year-old boys. Thank you to everyone who came to our annual “wrap session” and had a great time wrapping all of the clothes requested by the moms for their children, and every item on the kids’ wish lists.
